Tiksi Airport (UEST) is a medium airport in Tiksi, SA, Russia. Pilots and dispatchers reference it by ICAO code UEST or IATA code IKS. It sits in Asia.
Tiksi Airport is a regional commercial airport that doubles as a busy private-aviation base. Operators benefit from full instrument approaches and an FBO infrastructure scaled for regular jet traffic, often without the congestion of the nearest major hub.
Tiksi Airport sits near sea level at 26 ft.
Local operations run on Asia/Yakutsk. Scheduled airline service is light enough that it rarely interferes with charter movements, though planners should still expect to coordinate with the handling agent for international turnarounds.
SkyAccess inventory for UEST updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.
Use this page to compare UEST against nearby alternatives, browse live empty-leg pricing in both directions, and brief yourself on the runway and elevation profile before you book.
Tiksi Aerodrome is located 1 km (0.6 mi) northeast of Tiksi, Sakha Republic, and was built in the 1950s as a staging base for Soviet Long Range Aviation bombers to reach the United States. It is used regularly by Tupolev Tu-95 aircraft in military exercises, including one in 1999, in which bombers practice travelling to the Canadian arctic. Two other nearby airfields known as Tiksi North and Tiksi West have been abandoned for decades, and are probably unusable, according to satellite imagery.
