The Gulfstream V is a ULTRA_LONG_RANGE jet aircraft with a maximum range of 6,675 nm, 16 seats. SkyAccess tracks 6 active Gulfstream V aircraft across 4 FAA Part 135 charter operators, with 6 upcoming empty legs published on this type.
The Gulfstream V first flew in 1995 and received certification in 1997, making it one of the pioneering "ultra-long-range" business aircraft. At its introduction, the GV boasted the longest range of any business jet available, with a capability of over 6,000 miles. This impressive range allows the GV to perform nonstop flights from Denver to Beijing or New Zealand to San Francisco, pushing the operational limits for its crews. Known for its reliability and high performance, the Gulfstream V excels in the exclusive and competitive ultra-long-range private jet market. The Gulfstream V cabin can accommodate up to 18 passengers across three or four living areas. The most popular configuration seats 14 passengers and typically includes a 4-place club arrangement, a 2-place club, a divan in the mid-cabin, and a 4-place conference seating in the aft section. Additional cabin features of the Gulfstream V include a full-sized galley, sink, power outlets, fold-out tables, Satellite TV, and multi-screen entertainment systems. To enhance passenger comfort, an AirData/LeBozec humidifier can be added to increase cabin humidity. Equipped with a flight management system featuring a worldwide satellite-based Global Positioning System, the GV is capable of cruising at 51,000 feet (16,000 m). Advanced features include enhanced weather radar, autopilot, and a head-up display for the pilot. Safety is further enhanced with the Enhanced Vision System, which improves visibility in adverse conditions. Additionally, the aircraft is outfitted with commercial and military communications equipment, providing secure voice and data capabilities. With a fleet of over 180 Gulfstream V aircraft operated by corporate clients and the U.S. Air Force (designated as C-37A), this aircraft is also used by the Coast Guard to transport high-ranking officials. The U.S. Navy operates a variant as well. The Gulfstream V serves various government and Defense Department officials. Its successors, the G500 and G550, are improved versions of the Gulfstream V variant, the GV-SP, and are currently in production.
