Airport guide
Cannes-Mandelieu Airport (LFMD) sits 4 miles west of central Cannes on the French Riviera. The two runways (5,512 ft, 4,659 ft) handle most current business jets up through heavy operations; ultra-long-range jets with maximum payloads occasionally plan around runway length and use LFMN (Nice). Field elevation 13 ft, no density-altitude concerns. LFMD is the principal dedicated business-aviation airport on the Côte d'Azur for Cannes specifically. Structural events drive extreme demand: Cannes Film Festival (mid-May), MIPIM (real estate, March), MIPCOM (TV, October), Cannes Lions (advertising, June), the structural summer Mediterranean yacht-charter season. Ground time to the Croisette / Palais des Festivals is 10 minutes; the Hotel Martinez is 10; the yacht harbor (Vieux Port) is 10.
