Airport guide
Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport (LIMJ) sits 4 miles west of central Genoa on the Ligurian coast. The single 9,646 ft runway handles every current business jet; G.A.S. Genova handles the FBO operations. Field elevation 13 ft, no density-altitude concerns. The dominant flow is yacht-charter and Liguria leisure — Portofino is 30 minutes east, the Cinque Terre 60 minutes east, the Italian Riviera ports stretch to the French border at Ventimiglia. Structural peaks: Genoa Boat Show (September), summer Mediterranean yacht season (May–September). The mountain backdrop and coastal weather mean approach minimums tighten in winter. Ground time to downtown Genoa is 10 minutes; Portofino is 35; Santa Margherita Ligure is 30.
