Airport guide
Bern Airport (LSZB) sits 6 miles south of Bern, Switzerland's capital city. The single 5,663 ft runway handles most current business jets up through heavy operations. Field elevation 1,673 ft, no density-altitude concerns. LSZB serves Swiss federal government flow (Bundeshaus, Bundesrat), plus the Swiss Confederation corporate community. Most Bern-area charter actually routes through Zürich or Geneva given the longer runways and faster international connectivity. Ground time to downtown Bern is 15 minutes; the Bundeshaus is 20.
