Airport guide
Toncontín International Airport (MHTG) sits in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The single 7,096 ft runway handles every current business jet at gross-weight limits — the surrounding mountain terrain and short runway make MHTG one of the more demanding approaches in the Western Hemisphere. Field elevation 3,294 ft, with summer density-altitude considerations. Most modern Honduras corporate flow has shifted to MHLM Palmerola (the former Soto Cano air base, now civilianized). Ground time to downtown Tegucigalpa is 15 minutes.
