Airport guide

Amundsen–Scott south Pole Station Airport (NZSP) is a medium airport in Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, Antarctica. It sits in Antarctica.

Amundsen–Scott south Pole Station Airport is a regional airport primarily serving general aviation, charter, and corporate flight departments.

Amundsen–Scott south Pole Station Airport sits at 9,300 ft above sea level. At this elevation, density-altitude effects are significant year-round. Operators should plan for reduced engine performance and longer takeoff rolls on warm days, and many flight departments require runway-analysis software for departures.

Local operations run on Antarctica/McMurdo. Without scheduled airline traffic, the field tends to be quieter and more flexible for charter and corporate operations — a useful characteristic for early morning, late night, or short-notice flights that would be impractical at a hub.

SkyAccess inventory for NZSP updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.
