Osmany International Airport

Osmany International Airport (VGSY) is a medium airport in Sylhet, Bangladesh. Pilots and dispatchers reference it by ICAO code VGSY or IATA code ZYL. It sits in Asia.

Osmany International Airport is a regional commercial airport that doubles as a busy private-aviation base. Operators benefit from full instrument approaches and an FBO infrastructure scaled for regular jet traffic, often without the congestion of the nearest major hub.

Osmany International Airport sits near sea level at 50 ft.

Local operations run on Asia/Dhaka. Scheduled airline service is light enough that it rarely interferes with charter movements, though planners should still expect to coordinate with the handling agent for international turnarounds.

SkyAccess inventory for VGSY updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.

Use this page to compare VGSY against nearby alternatives, browse live empty-leg pricing in both directions, and brief yourself on the runway and elevation profile before you book.

Osmani International Airport, Sylhet, is the third largest airport in Bangladesh after Dhaka and Chittagong. The airport is operated by the Civil Aviation Authority and is served by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, the national airline, which at one point earned most of its revenue from this airport. Private airlines Novoair and US-Bangla Airlines operate domestic flights to Dhaka.
