At the turn of the century, Cessna embarked on a mission to redefine their flagship light jet, aiming for greater speed, increased capacity, and enhanced performance. Thus, the Citation CJ2 was born. Since its inception in 2000, it has set new standards in the industry. Powered by 2 Williams FJ44-3A-24 engines, each providing 2,400 lbs of thrust, the CJ2 delivers not only power but also efficiency, consuming 139 gallons per hour (GPH). With a cruise speed boosted by 30 knots, it slashes through the skies with unparalleled agility. Despite its larger size, the CJ2 remains agile, with a takeoff distance of just 3,360 feet and a landing distance of 2,590 feet. Step inside, and you'll be greeted by a spacious cabin designed to accommodate up to 6 passengers comfortably. With a height of 4 feet 9 inches and a length of 13 feet 7 inches, the cabin exudes luxury and refinement. Its total volume of 243 cubic feet ensures ample room for relaxation and productivity during your journey. Equipped with a gross weight of 12,375 lbs and a landing weight of 11,500 lbs, the Citation CJ2 is capable of carrying a sizable payload while maintaining optimal performance. Its usable fuel capacity of 3,932 lbs translates to a maximum range of 1,530 nautical miles, allowing for non-stop journeys to distant destinations. The Citation CJ2 isn't just about raw power and performance; it's about pushing the boundaries of what's possible in light jet aviation. With its unmatched combination of speed, range, and comfort, it continues to inspire pilots and passengers alike, setting a new standard for excellence in the skies. From its maiden flight to the final touchdown, the Citation CJ2 represents the pinnacle of Cessna's dedication to innovation and customer satisfaction. As a testament to its legacy, the Citation CJ2 remains a timeless icon in the world of aviation, paving the way for future generations of light jets to come.
