The Dassault Falcon 900 is a tri-jet corporate jet aircraft made by Dassault Aviation in France. It is a development of the Falcon 50, itself a development of the earlier Falcon 20. On September 21, 1984, the F900 took its first flight, and production began in 1987. After launching the Falcon 900, Dassault improved the design and introduced the Falcon 900EX in 1996, before adding the EASy cockpit seven years later. The Falcon 900EX EASy was certified by the FAA and EASA in November 2003. Like its earlier sister the Falcon 50, the aircraft has three engines. Its three Honeywell TFE731-60 engines provide 5,000 pounds of thrust, allowing for a range of 4,500 nm. Improvements on the Model 900EX include an updated brake-to-wire system that perform self-diagnostics, a new Fuel Quantity Management computer, Cabin Pressure Controller, and a new electro-pneumatic unit for emergency oxygen distribution. The cockpit is equipped with the EASy Flight Deck to improve crew situational awareness and reduce workload. Production of the Falcon 900EX EASy ended in 2011, with a total of 122 jets being built. 3 are now retired, and the remaining are in operation today. As of January 2019, 7.6% of the fleet is for sale on the market. North America holds the largest percentage of 900EX EASy aircraft with 69%, and an additional 20% is operated in Europe.
