The Learjet 35 is an American business jet and military transport aircraft produced by Bombardier Learjet in 1973. It was designed with longer range, lower fuel burn, and faster cruise speeds than its predecessor, the Learjet 25. The Learjet 35A is an upgraded model of the Learjet 35 that was introduced in 1976. The Learjet 35A is powered by two Garrett TFE731-2-2B turbofan engines with 3,500 pounds of thrust. It has a longer range of 2,789 miles, with a fuel capacity of 931 gallons. The cabin has a volume of 268 cubic feet, seating up to eight passengers. Production of the Learjet 35A ended in 1993 after more than 600 models had been manufactured. This jet is primarily used as a military aircraft, as 38 are in operation in the United States Air Force and 18 are in the US Air National Guard. It is also operated internationally by Royal Canadian Mounted Police, United Arab Emirates Air Force, Italian Air Force, Italian Army, Bulgarian Air Force, and Polish Medical Air Rescue.
