Airport guide
Eday Airport (EGED) is a medium airport in Eday, United Kingdom. Pilots and dispatchers reference it by ICAO code EGED or IATA code EOI. It sits in Europe.
Eday Airport is a regional commercial airport that doubles as a busy private-aviation base. Operators benefit from full instrument approaches and an FBO infrastructure scaled for regular jet traffic, often without the congestion of the nearest major hub.
Eday Airport sits near sea level at 10 ft.
Local operations run on Europe/London. Scheduled airline service is light enough that it rarely interferes with charter movements, though planners should still expect to coordinate with the handling agent for international turnarounds.
SkyAccess inventory for EGED updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.
Use this page to compare EGED against nearby alternatives, browse live empty-leg pricing in both directions, and brief yourself on the runway and elevation profile before you book.
Background from Wikipedia
Eday London Airport is located on Eday in Orkney, Scotland. As it is close to the Bay of London it is known locally as just London Airport. The Bay of London may have been so called because of puffins breeding there: Old Norse lundi = "puffin", Old Norse á Lundunum = "at the puffins".
