Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport

Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (LIEO) sits 4 miles south of Olbia on the northeast coast of Sardinia. The single 8,366 ft runway handles every current business jet; Eccelsa Aviation handles VIP movements. Field elevation 37 ft, no density-altitude concerns. Olbia is the structural gateway to the Costa Smeralda — Porto Cervo, Porto Rotondo, Cala di Volpe, Romazzino — the most concentrated luxury-yacht and resort coastline in the Mediterranean. Operations are summer-dominated (June through early September) when the field can handle one of the highest densities of Mediterranean private-jet traffic of any single week. Outside summer the field is quiet. Ground time to Porto Cervo is 30 minutes; Porto Rotondo is 20; the Aga Khan-developed resort cluster is 25–35.
