Airport guide

Binaka Airport (WIMB) is a medium airport in Gunungsitoli, Indonesia. Pilots and dispatchers reference it by ICAO code WIMB or IATA code GNS. It sits in Asia.

Binaka Airport is a regional commercial airport that doubles as a busy private-aviation base. Operators benefit from full instrument approaches and an FBO infrastructure scaled for regular jet traffic, often without the congestion of the nearest major hub.

Binaka Airport sits near sea level at 20 ft.

Local operations run on Asia/Jakarta. Scheduled airline service is light enough that it rarely interferes with charter movements, though planners should still expect to coordinate with the handling agent for international turnarounds.

SkyAccess inventory for WIMB updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.

Background from Wikipedia

Binaka Airport is a domestic airport serving Gunungsitoli, the largest city and economic center of Nias Island in North Sumatra, Indonesia. Although it primarily serves Gunungsitoli, the airport is located outside the city limits, in Gidö, Nias Regency, approximately 16 km from the city center. It is the only airport on the island and serves as the main point of entry to both Gunungsitoli and the wider Nias region. The airport offers regular flights to Medan, the provincial capital of North Sumatra, and also provides rural connections to destinations such as Parapat near Lake Toba and the Batu Islands. In the past, it also had direct flights to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Padang, the capital of West Sumatra, though these routes have since been discontinued.
