Airport guide

Portland Airport (YPOD) is a medium airport in Australia. Pilots and dispatchers reference it by ICAO code YPOD or IATA code PTJ. It sits in Oceania.

Portland Airport is a regional commercial airport that doubles as a busy private-aviation base. Operators benefit from full instrument approaches and an FBO infrastructure scaled for regular jet traffic, often without the congestion of the nearest major hub.

Portland Airport sits near sea level at 265 ft.

Local operations run on Australia/Melbourne. Scheduled airline service is light enough that it rarely interferes with charter movements, though planners should still expect to coordinate with the handling agent for international turnarounds.

SkyAccess inventory for YPOD updates continuously as operators publish new empty legs and one-way repositioning trips. Pricing on each leg is available with a free account, and an inventory alert will email you the moment a leg appears on the route you care about.

Use this page to compare YPOD against nearby alternatives, browse live empty-leg pricing in both directions, and brief yourself on the runway and elevation profile before you book.

Background from Wikipedia

Portland Airport is located within the locality of Cashmore, 7 nautical miles northwest of Portland, Victoria, Australia. Opened in 1982, the airport is one of only three in the state outside Melbourne to receive regular passenger services, providing an important gateway for southwest Victoria. The airport is home to the Portland Aero Club and was previously a maintenance base of Sharp Airlines. From 2009 onwards, the Victorian Government contributed funding for works to modernize the airport, including upgrade the airport's aprons, taxiways and terminal building, completed in 2014.
