Methodology
London covers eight airports: Luton, Farnborough, Biggin Hill, Stansted, Northolt, City, Heathrow and Gatwick. Each unique leg is counted once across operator feeds (same origin, destination, departure time, aircraft registration and model), deleted, cancelled and never-public listings are excluded, and both directions are combined. Counterparts are counted per airport, so Paris here is Le Bourget only. The counts are listed empty legs, not flown flights. Each regional edition uses its own snapshot date, so a corridor shared with another edition can differ by a few legs. For the global ranking, see the Empty Leg Index (September 2026 edition) and the October 2026 edition.
