In July 2026, the airfield that pilots had filed flight plans to as KPBI for decades received a new name and a new identifier. Palm Beach International Airport became President Donald J. Trump International Airport, and the Federal Aviation Administration re-coded the field KDJT. Behind the new signage, the private aviation traffic that has long defined the airport kept moving. SkyAccess analyzed its own empty leg listings to build a public data profile of private jet activity at the renamed airport: its rank among Florida fields, its seasonal rhythm, its destination map, and its price tags.

A new identifier for a familiar flight path
The rename rolled out in two steps. On July 9, 2026, the FAA re-coded the airport from KPBI to KDJT, a change documented in FAA Notice 8900.780. On that measure, only two Florida airports saw more activity: Miami-Opa Locka Executive (KOPF), with 21,124 legs, and Naples Municipal (KAPF), with 12,368. The gap to Naples is just 507 legs.
KDJT sits comfortably ahead of the rest of the state’s private aviation map on the platform: Fort Lauderdale Executive (KFXE) recorded 9,290 legs, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International (KFLL) 6,967, Boca Raton (KBCT) 6,638, Witham Field in Stuart (KSUA) 6,506, Sarasota Bradenton (KSRQ) 6,084, Tampa International (KTPA) 5,506, and Jacksonville International (KJAX) 3,756. One caveat matters: these are empty leg listings published on a single marketplace, not total airport operations, so the ranking describes relative activity on the platform rather than official FAA traffic counts.
A market that peaks hard in late winter
Palm Beach’s social season shows up unmistakably in the listing calendar. Within 2026 alone, February drew 1,569 listings, March 1,726, and April a series-high 1,789. Then the floor drops: June fell to 594 and July to 138. That makes April roughly 13 times as busy as July on the marketplace, and the three peak months of 2026 combined for 5,084 listings against 732 across June and July, about a 7-to-1 ratio. August 2026 stands at 202 with the month still in progress, an early signal of the seasonal rebound the series showed building through the autumn of 2025.

Miami next door, New York above all
The single busiest city pairing over the trailing 12 months is Miami, with 685 legs, followed by Teterboro, New Jersey, with 638 and Naples with 630. But fold the New York metro area’s business aviation gateways together and the picture shifts: Teterboro’s 638 legs plus White Plains’ 195 total 833, making New York the airport’s No. 1 out-of-state connection by a wide margin.
Beyond the Northeast corridor, Chicago logged 378 legs, Nashville 192, and Atlanta 178. Nassau, Bahamas, at 353 legs, is the only international destination in the top 15, a reminder that the islands sit within short-hop range of South Florida. The rest of the list is strikingly local: 9 of the top 15 connected cities are in Florida, including Orlando (448), Sarasota/Bradenton (353), Tampa (302), Fort Lauderdale (294), Fort Myers (208), Pinellas Park (173), and Jacksonville (171). Much of the private jet traffic touching KDJT never leaves the state.
What an empty leg from KDJT costs
Empty legs are repositioning flights, aircraft that must fly a segment without paying passengers and are listed at a discount to a conventional charter. Among 3,660 priced listings touching the airport over the trailing 12 months, the median listed price was $10,000. The 25th percentile sat at $3,750 and the 75th at $16,000, meaning the middle half of the market spans a $12,250 range. Put another way, a quarter of priced empty legs touching the airport were listed at $3,750 or less.
Methodology
All figures come from SkyAccess marketplace empty leg listings, pulled on Aug. 26, 2026, from the SkyAccess production database. Only active listings were counted; deleted listings were excluded. Monthly counts are grouped by departure month and include every listing touching KPBI/KDJT as origin or destination. Months after August 2026 contain only future scheduled listings and were excluded. August 2026 is in progress and its count is partial.
These are listings published on the SkyAccess marketplace, not total airport operations, and marketplace coverage grew over the window. Year-over-year changes in listing counts therefore reflect platform growth as well as market activity and are not presented as market growth. Seasonal comparisons are made within a single year.
